Part-time courses:

Fees: In order to book a course, the full fee is payable once a form is submitted online in order to secure a place. Payments may be made by credit or debit card by calling, by bank transfer or in person.

Refunds: are given only if delegates are not accepted onto the course, a course is cancelled or places are full. 

Exam/project fee: A marking fee of £50 is payable directly to the tutor for exam or project marking.

Cancellations: To cancel a place on an evening course, a request must be made in writing to the Course Director two weeks before the scheduled start date of the course. Delegates remain responsible for payment of  fees should they not attend a booked place and not provide the minimum two week notice prior to the course start date. 

Sponsored delegates:  Payments for those being sponsored must be made according to the payment terms on the invoice. Sponsors are bound to pay fees in all cases of a sponsored delegate(s), including in the event of a delegate leaving employment. The sponsors retain the full responsibility of ensuring fees are settled in full. Cancellations on the evening courses require a minimum of two weeks' notice prior to the start date of the course and must be made in writing for the attention of the Course Director. Sponsored delegates unable to start a scheduled intake, may request to have their place transferred to the next intake (a transfer fee of £200 will be invoiced). Alternatively, LSP can accept a replacement delegate from the same organisation.

Transferring a place: if a course delegate wishes to postpone their place and start on the following intake or continue at a later date (a delegate will continue the course at the point that they reached in the previous intake) once they have started, a request must be made in writing to the Course Director two weeks prior to the scheduled start date of the course. Acceptance of this request is at the discretion of the Course Director. A rejoining transfer fee of £200 will be levied for taking a place on a new intake.

Special Offers: offers are available from the date of release of a promotional offer and valid to the date of expiry of the offer on new bookings made on or after the date of release of the offer. They are not valid on bookings made prior to the date the offer was released. They cannot run in conjunction with any other offers, are valid on selected courses and are subject to availability. Offers are limited to one per person or per organisation and cannot be combined with other offers. Attendees attending a group discount offer must attend on the same date and course, The usual terms and conditions apply.

Replacement of certificate: a re-issue fee of £80 is charged for replacement of a certificates. This fee also applies in the event that the original certificate was sent to a previous address as provided by the delegate.

Under this policy, you may cancel your purchase of the course within the period of 14 calendar days from the date on which the contract of purchase is concluded. This is called a "Cancellation Period". Note that if you redeem your voucher during the Cancellation Period, you expressly request us to begin providing the course materials and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel the purchase of the course and get any refund for it.

In case you decide to cancel your purchase of a course, it can be done in the following way:
By filling out Cancellation Form and sending it via (PROVIDER PLEASE INSERT ADDRESS)
If you cancel the purchase of a course within 14 calendar days as mentioned above, we will refund you for all payments made as a part of your purchase within 14 calendar days from the day we accept that you are entitled to a refund.

Disruptive Behaviour: The Director and Course Director have the right to remove a delegate from training who causes disruption to other delegates' learning or demonstrates anti-social behaviour.

Day courses  EDITING AND PROOFREADING, WRITING OR PICTURE RESEARCH

COURSES:

Fees: The full fees are required on booking (full payment must be received in order for the booking to be confirmed). There is no provision for payment of fees in instalments. An invoice will be sent for those being sponsored by employers.

 Cancellations/refunds: 

Cancellation of a booking or a request for a transfer to a later date, must be notified to LSPR in writing, within the 4 weeks of the start date of the course.

LSPR can accept a substitute in place of the original person booked.

Refunds can be made as follows:

100% of the fee if the cancellation is notified 4 weeks or more prior to the starting date of the course.

50% of the fee if notification of cancellation is given between 2 – 4 weeks prior to the start date of the course.

No refund if notification of cancellation is given less than 2 weeks prior to the starting date of the course.

Refunds are strictly not made under any circumstamnces once a course has been attended.

Disruptive behaviour: The Director and the Training Director have the right to dismiss a delegate from a course who is being disruptive, hostile, or is guilty of misconduct. We encourage a warm, inviting learning environment, that welcomes people in a secure and nurturing envionment. Anyone deemed not complying with this code of behaviour will be asked to terminate their training.  

Day courses — ADOBE & QUARK AND DIGITAL MEDIA COURSES:

If you wish to cancel a course you must notify LSP in writing. Cancellation does not become effective until LSP confirms it has received this. The following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 5 working days notice: 0% of the cost of the course
  • 5 or less working days notice: 100% of the cost of the course

 

Disclaimer — LSP reserves the right to cancel a course at any time or change dates and courses are run depending on demand. LSP will attempt to re-schedule at a later date or offer a full refund. LSP does not accept any liability for any costs that may be incurred. Under no circumstance will compensation be payable or shall LSP be liable for any loss of profit.

 

Copyrights:

Copyright and all intellectual property rights for all Course Materials shall remain the property of LSP or the trading partner of LSP responsible for developing that course; except where materials development has been paid for by the client.

The Customer agrees not to reproduce, sell, hire or copy Course Materials (in whole or in part) and not to use such materials except for the purposes of post course or personal reference.

Force Majeure:

LSP shall not be in breach of this contract if the provision of its services are delayed, cancelled or reduced through any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including any act of God ( including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, storm, snow, hurricane or other natural disaster) sickness, war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities ( regardless of whether war is declared) civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labour dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

Delegates must ensure they can attend the training course which they are scheduled to attend. LSP will not be held liable, financially or actually, for their non-attendance, whatsoever the reason may be.

Limits of Liability:

entire liability for loss and damage shall be limited to a claim for damages. The maximum aggregate liability will be the charges for the course out of which the loss or damage has arisen.

LSP will not accept liability for death or personal injury.

LSP will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential loss (including loss of anticipated profit or data), howsoever arising, even if it has been advised of such potential loss

Food:

LSP provides refreshments and lunch which may contain allergens. If you have a food allergy or special dietary requirement, please inform a member of LSP staff.

Our meal providers handle all allergens in their kitchen and cannot 100% guarantee their dishes are allergen-free. It is the delegates responsibility to check allergen information, and LSP is able to provide delegates with an ingredient list for each menu item upon request. 

LSP takes no responsibility, legal or otherwise, for any adverse reaction that a delegate may have after eating food on our premises.
